What this chapter is about
Lines and angles are the foundation of all geometry. Every shape you see around you — a rectangle, a triangle, a hexagon — is made up of lines and angles. Architecture, engineering, art, and navigation all rely on the precise understanding of how lines meet, intersect, and relate to each other.
In Class VI, you were introduced to basic geometric concepts. In this chapter, we build on that foundation by studying specific pairs of angles that are formed when lines intersect or when a line crosses two parallel lines. These relationships allow us to find unknown angles, prove geometric theorems, and understand the structure of shapes more deeply.
